1. Because you need more than one or two poses. 
2. Because they won't fix their hair.
3. You need prop choices.
4. They wont' make time sure his smile is perfect.
5. You need more backdrop choices.
6. You get more for your buck.
7. It'll look better on your wall.

There are at least seven good reasons to come to me for school pictures. And look at that smile! How can you argue? You know how different they look each year, why leave documenting it to an inexperienced photographer? 

So if you aren't getting Back to School Portraits done, which I recommend because they are adorable, please come get your School Portraits done with me. 

You don't need to settle with the awkward smile and pose.

I love using my macro lens, especially for photographing Lego Movie Benny. He's probably my favorite. SPACESHIP!!! My son makes me the most silly Lego space ships and cars that I need to start photographing because he just won't let me keep it forever.

Ring Flash

I cannot even handle how cute these guys are. These portraits were not shot with our normal lighting setup. They were shot with an ABR800 Ring Flash unit, beauty dish and two strip soft boxes from behind. I absolutely love the look of a Ring Flash, it's so much more High Fashion than a soft box (which I also think is stunning) but this effect is so airbrushed.

Heart Surgery has nothing on Baby Brody

 This is Brody and he is a Superhero Miracle Baby. He has transposition of the great arteries and these were taken after his second heart surgery at four months. He was three days old for his first heart surgery. What a trooper!
